Episode 2 continues the Strain Hunters South Africa expedition. For CloneBuzzz Genetics, this series is more than a passing curiosity: we buy from Green House Seed Co, the company behind Strain Hunters, and we care deeply about what happens to distinctive living genetics and the stories attached to them.

What does preservation mean?
Keeping a genetic line alive is more than keeping its name in circulation. It means caring about the plant itself and being curious about the people, places and knowledge connected to it. An expedition can spark that curiosity, but the voices of the communities represented should never be treated as background scenery.
Our connection to the series
We buy from Green House Seed Co, while our own business supplies living clones to preserve and safeguard genetics in South Africa. We want this country to take the plant seriously as part of a culture and way of life with its own identity, not reduce it to drugs or smoking. That is the lens through which we share this series.
